🇵🇰 BISP Registration 2026 — Complete Guide

Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is Pakistan’s national social protection programme, established in 2008 to provide financial assistance to vulnerable and low-income households, with payments primarily supporting eligible women.

How to Register for BISP

1. Check your BISP status online

Visit the official 8171 BISP portal and enter your CNIC number to check your household's status.

Official 8171 BISP Portal

The portal asks for your CNIC number and verification code.

2. If there is no record, complete the NSER survey

If your household does not appear in the 8171 system, visit your nearest BISP Tehsil Office / Benazir Registration Center.

The NSER survey collects household and socioeconomic information used to determine eligibility. BISP says registration/survey is completely free.

3. Take the required information/documents

Keep your:

  • Original CNIC
  • Active mobile phone number
  • Family/household information
  • Children's B-Forms, where applicable
  • Other relevant household information requested during the survey

Make sure your information is accurate and your mobile number is active.

4. Wait for verification

BISP uses the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) and a Proxy Means Test (PMT) to assess household eligibility.

After the survey and verification, you can check your status through the official 8171 system.

5. Receive an official 8171 message

Eligible beneficiaries are notified through 8171. BISP specifically warns that messages from other numbers should not be trusted.

6. Receive your payment

BISP's payment system is being expanded through partner banks and digital payment mechanisms. Recent BISP announcements say beneficiaries can withdraw stipends through participating bank retailers, while the programme is also implementing digital-wallet/payment-account reforms.

Do not visit a payment center simply because someone tells you to. BISP has advised beneficiaries to wait for the official 8171 notification before collecting payments.

💰 How Much Is the BISP Kafaalat Payment?

The BISP website's January 2025 announcement increased the Benazir Kafaalat quarterly stipend from Rs. 10,500 to Rs. 13,500.

For Manzar Pakistan, I'd phrase this as:

Benazir Kafaalat stipend: Rs. 13,500 per quarter

rather than claiming a different amount unless BISP publishes a newer official change.

🚨 Important: Avoid BISP Scams

8171 is the official BISP number. BISP says messages from other numbers claiming to offer BISP payments or registration should be treated as fraudulent.

Also:

  • ❌ Do not pay anyone for BISP registration.
  • ❌ Do not share your PIN/OTP with strangers.
  • ❌ Do not trust unofficial WhatsApp numbers.
  • ❌ Do not pay an agent to "increase" your payment.
  • ✅ Registration/survey is free.
  • ✅ Use the official 8171 portal.
  • ✅ For complaints, contact BISP's official helpline 0800-26477.
